According to Autocar, a BMW 3-series long wheelbase version is coming for the next generation BMW F30 3-series. Just as the F10 5-series long wheelbase version, the stretched 3-series main market will be China, where many Chinese prefer to be chauffered. It will compete with the newly revealed Audi A4L.

The long wheelbase 3-series will be built in conjunction with Brilliance, BMWs Chinese partner, at a new BMW factory in the Shengyang economic zone. However, the factory will … CONTINUED

Although not revealing much more that’s new, the 2012/2013 F30 3-series sedan test mules continue their testing around Munich, Germany and spy photographers continue their pursuit and recording. We hope to see the F30 lose some of its camoflage suit soon. Video courtesy of spyshots.nl.

French publication Automobile Magazine has just published these new renderings on what a possible next generation F30 3-Series could look like. While my first gut instinct when looking at these was that they took the concept 5-Series GT Clay Models very sleek front end design and applied it to the future 3-Series I have to say the result does work. The details are still a bit to concept-ish and aggressive for a production 3-series, but the general underlying theme does flow quite nice and … CONTINUED

Nothing new in these pictures compared to the already seen F30 spy photos, but new photos always means new angles and perspectives, so we thought we’d post these up.

We recently brought you photos of the F30 3-series during winter testing, and here is a video of an F30 out making its round in the snow and cold. Seeing it in motion and from different distances really gives a great perspective into its shape and proportions (which looks great). The little bit of exhaust note we can hear also sounds pretty aggressive.

It seems unreal to us that the F30 is out on the roads testing already, but here it is again! A quick eyed reader of AutoWeek.nl snapped up two photos of the car on the highway while in Germany! Not much new is seen with the car when compared to the earlier spypics.

What is known just from the shape so far is that the car will retain the basic proportions of the E90 however with … CONTINUED

The upcoming 3-series replacement (chassis code: F30) is likely to debut in 2011 as a 2012 model. Now that the winter months are upon Europe, the car is undergoing winter testing, and has been spied on video at a local gas station.

Not much is known about the car as of yet, as the car is under heavy body cladding covered with BMWs classic psychedelic camouflage. Current thinking is that the forthcoming 3-series will continue to use styling cues … CONTINUED
