With the official pictures of the F30 3-Series now available, Photoshop artists have taken to creating a more accurate picture of what the next generation M3 may look like.
The F01 7-series is due for a facelift and the prototypes continue to undergo public testing.
Expect the F01 7-series LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) to be unveiled next Spring. The biggest changes to be seen will be to the front fascia. Full LED headlights will come to the 7 series for the first time. Underneath the camouflage tape, the bumper directly underneath the headlights will transition to the lower part of the kidney grilles with a more pronounced ‘swoop’ line (not pictured in render). The lower bumper … CONTINUED
The F30 3 series will be fully revealed to the world this Friday, but its dashboard has now been revealed in these spy photos. Although these are not great quality photos, what’s seen here does appear to match up to the F30 interior spy photos we’ve previously posted.
As expected, the F30′s dashboard is a bit of a mix between the F10 5 series and F21 1 series, with the large fixed screen that we’ve seen in previous spy photos.
The dashboard trim appears to be quite a … CONTINUED
We recently reported the first sighting of the upcoming 6 Series Gran Coupe on the Nurburgring, and the M Sport version has now hit the ring for the first time.
The 6 Series Gran Coupe will feature M sport exterior styling from the 6 Series M Sport which adds an aggressive flare to the Gran Coupe’s very sleek shape. Current expectation is for the Gran Coupe to hit showrooms in 2012 as a 2013 Model Year vehicle. Engine range is expected to be identical to the 6-Series … CONTINUED
Just 2 weeks to the day before its debut, the F30 has shed more of its camouflage, revealing the lower front bumper and sideskirts.
If the F20 1 series is any indication, it’s possible we could be looking at the F30 Sport Line model. As pictured below, the F20 Sport Line also features a very similar design on its bumper inlets, with horizontal bars running from the fog lights.
Like the F20, the 2012 F30 3 series is expected to be available in different ‘lines’ – possibly a … CONTINUED
Exciting news! After several sets of spy shots, we’re happy to finally share the very first spy video of the 2014 M3 Sedan, internally dubbed the F80. As usual, this video provides a much more dynamic impression of the car than photos. No surprise that the new M3 looks very planted as it’s sitting fairly low and shows no body roll in these (admittedly) urban driving scenes. Overall, the M3 with its M bumpers and bulging wheel arches looks pugnacious and much more aggressive than the … CONTINUED
Now that the F80 M3 sedan has been given the greenlight, our spies have spotted the F80 M3 continuing its public road testing. While the camouflage on the F80 prototype remains the same as before, we’ve got some more angles to share with you – a slightly higher-down look than before. The F80 M3 continues to show off its attractive proportions and shape, while looking more aggressive and ‘beefier’ than the standard F30 3 series due to its widened wheel arches, M styled front and rear … CONTINUED
We last spied the F30 hybrid back in February for the first time out in heavy camouflage. It has now shed its heavy camouflage and taken to the Nurburgring for track testing. One can tell this is a hybrid version by the typical “Rescue” stickers on its doors and rear bumper (which is always present BMW’s hybrid test vehicles).
The F30 3-series will be the first 3-series hybrid from BMW and will adopt much of the technology from the upcoming hybrid F10 5-series which is scheduled to … CONTINUED
The upcoming 6 series Gran Coupe, a 4-door coupe model of the current 6 series, has been spotted by our spies testing on the Nurburgring for the first time. Although the Gran Coupe will be a grand touring type car, it’s still being tested on the Nurburgring to ensure that it will deliver a sporty, yet luxurious ride. It’s pictured here wearing BMW style 356 wheels, which look rather nice and sporty on the Gran Coupe.
The low slung and sleek Gran Coupe will take on … CONTINUED
We bring you the latest live look and listen at the upcoming new M6 coupe (F13) and convertible (F12) undergoing some final testing at the Nurburgring. We’ve also posted below a set of photos from the testing.
Not much camouflage remains, so its general shape and styling is easy to imagine. As for sounds, the M6 sounds quite similar to the F10 M5, owing to sharing the M5′s 4.4L 560hp twinpower twin turbo V8 S63Tu engine [specs]. This prototype appears to be testing carbon ceramic brakes, which … CONTINUED
The BMW X6 LCI (facelift) is coming next Spring and we bring you photos which preview the coming changes. Consistent with BMW’s recipe for subtle facelifts, the X6′s mid-life refresh will bring revised and more aggressive front bumpers without fog lights. Following path of the new 6-series, full LED headlights will be available as an option and are shown in these spyshots. You can also see the LED daytime running lights.
The X6 LCI models will also sport new kidney grilles which will take on a … CONTINUED
Despite the myriad of F30 3 series sedan test mule spy photos we’ve posted thus far, there has yet to be a direct F30 versus E90 3 series spotting, until now. Although it’s only one view for now, it gives us the best idea yet of how the new 2012 3 series F30 sedan will compare to the outgoing E90 3 series with respect to size, proportions, rear styling, and stance. Thanks to F30post member CSL-Fanatik.
Based on shape, the F30 appears more evolutionary than revolutionary a … CONTINUED
We have just spied a 2012 M6 coupe bearing its and rear end designs clearly on the streets of Munich for the first time. We recently had a brief look at the M6′s bumper styling when it first appeared uncovered while testing (and crashing unfortunately) on the Nurburgring.
We can now tell clearly that the M6 coupe does not simply adopt the F10 M5′s front lower bumper design whole cloth, but has its own sleek take on it. The biggest difference are the side air ducts, which … CONTINUED
We bring you more spy photos of the 2012 3 series sedan (F30), in black and space gray, as BMW finishes the final evaluation phase testing on the next generation 3 series sedan.
Although the camouflage tape remains on these FEP level prototypes, we’ve already recently had a great uncovered look at the production F30 front and rear [see these photos if you've been under a rock] in a recent spotting at an F30 official photo shoot. But, these photos continue to give us views at the … CONTINUED
The F31 3-series touring/wagon has been spotted in testing again, this time in a new color – liquid blue. Liquid blue recently showed up as new BMW color for the 2012 3-series E92 coupe and 2012 1-series F20 hatchback and this is the first ever look at the new light blue paint color.
No official word yet on whether the F31 touring/wagon will be available in North America, but in a recent interview with Automotive News, the now retired BMWNA CEO Jim O’Donnell says he wishes the … CONTINUED
Just spotted performing testing on the Nurburgring is the upcoming special X6 M model, which will come in with an even higher power output than the standard X6 M’s 555hp.
The power increase is expected to be subtle and will remain under the 600hp mark. There will also be changes to the car’s weight and significant changes to the overall feel of the driving experience.
As before, it features a large hood air scoop and air extractor outlets flanking the scoop. No details yet on what exact powerplant … CONTINUED
The next generation F30/F32 M3 continues its testing and we’ve now spotted it for the second time, in much higher detail (click on photos below for hi-res versions).
As before, the signature M3 cues are all clearly seen – quad exhaust, flared fenders, wider track, drilled rotors, and beefier front end. The brakes feature 4 piston calipers.
We believe we may be looking at a different front end on this M3 than on the regular F30 3-series sedan. The clearest clue is the shape of the kidney grilles, … CONTINUED
The 2012 BMW M6 has dropped some camouflage, revealing much of its front and rear bumper/diffuser styling for the first time. The front bumper appears to be a bit more aggressive than the F10 M5′s front bumper, with larger and more prominent ‘fins’ coming out/down from the bumper. The rear diffuser also features some aggressive styling, with prominent fins in the rear as well. The M6 coupe may also be featuring a carbon fiber roof, as the roof’s camouflage still remains.
The occasion unfortunately ended with a … CONTINUED
