Car and Driver shares their comparison pitting the F10 M5 versus the F13 M6 at the Anglesey Circuit in the UK to see if the M6 is truly better at the track than the M5, as advertised.

The M5 and M6 share the same 560hp powertrain, but the M6 is billed as being even more suited for the track with its lighter weight (about 100 pounds), lower center of gravity (due to lighter carbon roof and lower roofline) and slighter faster acceleration (about a tenth of second faster to 0-60, at 4.1 seconds).

Check out the real world results and differences on the track.

Take the new BMW F10 M5 for instance: The mighty yet rushed 1 Series M Coupe and some M trucks aside, the new M5 is the first true M car to get a turbocharged engine. So, is it still a true M? After 14 days and roughly 2,000km in a 2012 Frozen Grey M5, I think I can give my subjective answer.

Motortrend gets its hand on the F10 M5 for an in depth evaluation and performance testing. They achieved an impressive 3.7sec 0-60mph and 11.9sec quarter mile (@ 120.3mph).

Along the way they call the F10 M5 probably the best M5 ever, from driver feedback to all-out performance. We see their complaint about the large gap between comfort and sport mode as a positive as it means that the new M5’s range and effectiveness while wearing its many hats is better than ever.

Check out the full review and performance figures inside.
