From the Frankfurt IAA, the BMW U.S. chief has confirmed BMWs plans to finally introduce a 4-cylinder (turbo) engine based 3-series into the U.S. BMW lineup (to debut in the F30 3-series).  This will first occur in the Spring of 2012 for the next generation F30 3-series.
