The 2010 BMW Z4 sDrive35is wants to take its place next to the Audi TT-RS, Mercedes-Benz SLK and Porsche Boxster S/Cayman S, and it has some visual snap to show it.
The BMW X1 has made the 2010 World Car of the Year (WCOTY) Award finalist list and the BMW Z4 has made the 2010 Performance Car of the Year (PCOTY) Award finalist list. 31 cars were originally nominated for the WCOTY award and 15 cars for the PCOTY award. The winner of each category will be announced April 1st at the New York International Auto Show.

With the release of the Z4 35is BMW will be offering only one transmission; the DCT. Our understanding is that the manual 6 speed Z4 (specifically the clutch) cant handle the torque that comes with the engine upgrade in the car.

Japanese tuner 3D Design has released one of the first aftermarket aero part (front lip spoiler) for the E89 Z4. The lip is constructed from polyurethane and mounts to the factory mounting points.
The matte paint color look continues to be hot as a Zpost member puts together what’s probably the world’s first matte gray E89 Z4.
This new M-Sport kit which is said to include a full cosmetics kit as well as a mild power upgrade and subtle massaging of the suspension as well has been spied road testing once again. The 231hp M54 engine from the E46 330i & E85/E86 Z4 3.0 is getting a boost (to 306hp) from G-POWER’s SK Plus NG supercharger system.
Auto Motor und Sports photogs have been able to snap some more pictures of the red E89 Z4 that were posted up earlier (and of higher resolution). Coinciding with the Frankfurt IAA show, AC Schnitzer has revealed their full package for the E89 Z4. They had previously shown their Z4 with ACS Wheels, but this car now has the complete body kit and other accessories and represents the final product. Here is the breakdown on the specs:
