A new BMW concept vehicle from BMW ConnectedDrive is being previewed at the just launched ConnectedDrive Futurelab website, which previews future BMW ConnectedDrive technologies.
This ConnectedDrive concept car (link to video) appears to be a one or two seater open-top vehicle and is described as an extraordinary concept vehicle concept, which will once again revolutionize driving in terms of comfort, infotainment and safety. No doubt this is a concept car which will be used all of BMW’s brightest future ConnectedDrive technologies.
To preview the launch of BMW’s new BMWActivateTheFuture.com website on February 1, 2011, BMW has released this trailer for their new BMW Documentaries series “Activate the Future”, a series of four films which will feature various concepts of future travel from the past and present – including jet packs, flying cars, space travel, and future of mobility (which should feature BMW’s own philosophy behind future automotive travel, including the electric car). Here is a new video featuring Dr. Kay Segler, BMW M Brand Manager, giving a quick walk through of the 1M that was featured at the Detroit Autoshow. There is nothing new or spectacular fact wise in this video, but I still like it, because the video captures some of the car’s angles very well. And lets face it, I can’t see enough of the 1M in Vallencia Orange.

Forced induction is everywhere it seems. From BMWs standpoint, those turbos go a long way to reducing fuel consumption while keeping the power right where we want it, so its a no brainer for them. But as we all know, the aftermarket gives a damn about efficiency and the use of turbos is meant for one thing only. POWER.

Miramas, in the south of France is a test track BMW fondly calls their own “Area 51″. A well hidden and confidential track where BMW can test their metal without fear of prying eyes or ears. But now it seems, they’ve invited a few BMW M owners to come over to the track and try it out themselves.
