Size of M3 boot (trunk)

The deal breaker for me will be the ability to carry a folded wheel chair. Could anyone who has access to the saloon (sedan) please post the dimensions of the load space (why do manufacturers data sheets never show this ?) length / depth / height. May have to think about an Alpina touring but would prefer an M3.

Would be much appreciated, thanks.

Sorry this isn't a very technical reply, but I can assure you that especially with the rear seats being able to fold down a collapsible wheel chair should fit rather easily in the F80 boot.

Thanks, will need to fit with rear seats in place. I am wondering if the M suspension, diff etc take up any more space than in other f80s

This will probably be zero help to you, but I've transported my grandparents plenty of times in the current E90 sedan and they fit just fine in the trunk...

^The joke is that you think I'm transporting my grandparents in the trunk, which I wish I could, but not the case.

I've never had any issues stuffing wheel chairs walkers and all kinds of shit in their, though and I doubt it will be much different on the new model..

There is a tremendous amount of room in the trunk of the F30 and I would agree that the F80 would have close if not exactly the same size trunk. It should fit with no issues at all. Cheers!!

If it's really a deal breaker I'd go check a F30 to be certain.

I can easily fit a 20" wheel back there or a couple large pieces of luggage with room on the sides. It is pretty large without the seats down. You could easily fit an adult back there if you were inclined to do so...

It's the same as any cooking 3 series. pop to your dealer with the chair and check. The hardware doesn't affect anything.

That is very helpful, thanks, had searched in vain for photos. Wondered if there were any additional intrusions in the M as in my 2006 Z 4 M coupe the battery takes up a lot of the boot, having been moved compared to the non M coupe.

The space looks about the same as in our 330d x drive with the luggage compartment cover in place though with a higher lip to lift over.

A regular 4 series should give you an idea of size. I would go to a dealer and ask to see a 4 series.

when I test drove a 435 a few months back, the sa said the words "you can fit a set of clubs in here" when showing off the rear. I don't golf (unless you count top-golf and the booze that comes with it) so that comparison was actually meaningless to me, but maybe it helps someone else who hasn't had a chance to stop by and check it out for themselves.
