I'm pretty serious about giving one of these a shot depending on a few factors and need to speak to someone who has had real life experience with them*
Try giving him a shout marius76_bmw on instagram. I'm not sure if he's ever seen them in person, he's just helped customers who have paid for his coding services.

Just spotted this.. but the money they want is OEM icons money 2nd hand without modules, you could just need to hunt around for some cheap module replacements.. or buy the Chinese modules for £250 as a complete kit and have real LED units for almost the same total money

my highbeam didnt work (no response at all)
and the DRL wasnt working with a bunch of error codes...

Marius helped by providing some new wires to reconfigure the headlight socket
wires and relocate/remove pins from the FEM, as well as removing a fuse in the back of the car...along with tons of coding and updating software lol....

its crazy...time and money invested u are better off with OEM used ICON headlights with OEM modules...

Unless your car was originally fitted with adaptive led headlights then you will always have to re-pin the headlight plug. Marius does a great kit with instructions built using BMW parts, but if you're not feeling the urge to pull a few wires out of the original plug then you'll need to stick with xenon headlights.

The process you did was likely the same as you would if you were retrofitting oem icons.

The laser look-alike models are probably closer to being plug and play as they're not LED, they actually just use non adaptive xenon projectors.

If the laser look alike work even without the adaptive future i think it’s still a great deal for people that want the Lci look, like bayoptiks

Most likely sellers stuck with stock due to the installation issues, I'd guess they're selling them for trade cost now.

I am convinced that if BMW modules and electronics were not so finicky these may have been a success, but our cars are very complicated.

the projector version is ugly. I finally got my lights to work with the help from Marius. I think the process can be easier now since we know what's needed to be done.
We basically have to disable and rewire my car to function like a car without adaptive, then it become "Plug and Play"

Are people still having problems with installs on these? I think I might purchase these, also looks like they've gone up in price quite a bit
