Good news for iPhone users. iOS6 is finally supporting iDrive Office integration via Bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profile). Bluetooth MAP is the protocol used to retrieve email messages through iDrive, which currently only works with Blackberry and a few other devices.

BMW of North America announced today a continuing evolution of efficiency, power and technology with the introduction of the new TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine (N20) to the X3 xDrive28i. The new engine replaces the outgoing nominally aspirated inline 6-cylinder engine (N52) as the next step in BMW’s EfficientDynamics strategy. The Range Rover Evoque has been a darling of the automotive press since its introduction, culminating in it winning 2012 North American Truck of the Year. But, in a recent Consumer Reports test, the 2012 X3 slaughters the Evoque in a road test, 80 to 60 in the point total.
Although we’ve been expecting this news, here is finally official confirmation that the 2013 BMW X3 28i will change to the new 2.0L inline 4 cylinder N20 engine. This switchover will occur as of April 2012 production (for the MY2013 X3).

The BMW X3 was rated a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. In order to be considered a Top Safety Pick a vehicle must receive a rating of “Good”, the Institute’s highest rating in all tests including frontal off-set crash, side impact, rear impact and roof crush.
