BMW announced today that it has informed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the company’s intent to voluntarily recall all model year 2000 – 2006 BMW 3 Series vehicles, produced between May 1999 and August 2006, to replace the passenger-side front airbag as part of a worldwide recall. Potential problems with the airbag inflator which may rupture in vehicles produced by other manufacturers using similar systems from the same supplier have become evident in rare cases. The first F30 3 Series facelift / LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) prototype has just been spotted! Due to start production in the Summer of 2015, the refreshed 3 Series will undergo minor exterior changes as the photos show. The most significant change will be seen in the front end, which will feature a restyled front bumper, deeper inset headlights (from the beefier bumper design) and shapelier kidney grilles featuring 11 slats.

All re-engined F3x models will get new designations:
Model name change for the re-engined F3x: 328i (N20) -> 330i (B48), 335i (N55) -> 340i (B58).
4-cyl B48 engine will have 330i/430i designation instead of 328i/428i
6-cyl B58 engine will have 340i/440i designation instead of 335i/435i.
PHEV F30 will come as 330e, not 328e.

Every year some friends of mine (Team Orga) organize a BMW 1er and 3er car show. In past years we always held the show(s) at the BMW Welt. But last year we simply outgrew that parking lot. So this year’s show was held at a much larger parking lot. Metro is kind of the German version of Price Club.
