The next generation G11/G12 BMW 7 Series will have its reveal tomorrow via a private invite-only event. Check out some first official peeks at the 7 Series headlights inside.
We’ve spied the next gen G11/G12 7 Series’ display gauges before, but here’s the closest look yet and it once again confirms a hybrid physical/digital multifunction display.
Physical semi-circles frame the speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and temperature gauge, while all other elements appear to be digital, including needles and numbers.
The gauges are colored red as the car is in Sport mode, so we expect that the display gauges overall look will change with the car’s current mode (Sport, Comfort, Eco Pro), much like that seen … CONTINUED
Unfortunate serious accident between a 7 Series G11/G12 prototype and a police van. A BMW factory test driver, driving a new 7er G1x prototype was involved in a crash Saturday morning. The 7er driver (42-year-old) hit a Polizei van (30-year-old) t-boned it and the Polizei van flipped over. Inside the Polizei van were three policeman. All parties involved escaped with only minor injuries.

Although the next generation G11/G12 7 Series (G11 = short wheelbase / G12 = long wheelbase) has already been seen in its entirety (photos below), we’ve yet to see a model wearing the M Sport package. Seen here is the 7 Series M Sport, or perhaps even the rumored M770i. BMW has previously shot down rumors of a M7 model.

On December 29th, 2014, BMW released Bulletin “B001314″ or the “N63 Customer Care Package ” affecting any vehicle that saw use of the 4.4-liter V-8 (N63B44O0) within the 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X5, and X6 model lines manufactured between 2008 and 2013. The next generation 2016 7 Series (G11) has dropped some major camouflage, revealing its overall body styling.
The major styling components are now revealed – body lines, kidney grille shape and size, headlight and tail light shapes and yes, the hood cutline has indeed been moved back down to meet with the kidney grilles!

Some more insight from Scott26 on the possible new iDrive technology we may see introduced on the G11 7 Series, including possibly Augmented Reality.
The G11 7 Series has now been spied out and about with a production-level interior. The biggest change that we can now see compared to the previous sighting is new iDrive software. The screen shows a never before seen iDrive menu and we now also see the climate control display and controller layout.
BMW is sending the F01 7 Series off into the sunset with the Individual Final Edition 7 Series in Individual Citrine Black Metallic, currently on display at the 2014 Paris Auto Show. Come next year, the all new G11 7 Series will replace the current 7 Series.
The interior features merino leather with contrast piping, piano black trim and alcantara roof liner. This 750Ld xDrive features a tri-turbo diesel motor good for 381 HP.
The next generation G11 7 Series shows off more of its lighting – laser headlights, LED headlights and some of its tail lights.
