Just announced: the BMW M3 CRT lightweight sedan with enhanced power! Weighing in at only 3,483 pounds and powered by an upgraded 450hp V8, this lightweight E90 M3 sedan features BMW’s latest CFRP production process. The M3 CRT is 100 pounds lighter than the standard E90 M3 sedan and 154 pounds lighter when the equipment on board is taken into account.

As of 11:52am ET this morning (just 22 minutes after lines opened for ordering), the BMW Frozen Black M3 Coupe special edition was completely sold out – all 19 units.

A special edition M3 coupe has finally been announced for the North American Market. The “2011 BMW Frozen Black M3 Coupe” will be limited to only 20 units and be available for order on June, 16, 2011. Details, ordering info, and pricing details inside.
The current BMW E90 generation is soon coming to an end, including the E90 M3 sedan. Based on the official BMW production schedule (see below), all E90 3-series and E90 M3 sedan production will cease in October 2011. M3 coupe and convertible fans have some more time, however. The E92 M3 and E93 M3 will continue to be produced until at least June 2012 (along with the 3-series coupe and convertible). We previously reported that the famous E60 M5 ring taxi would be replaced by the M3. Here it is – the new ring taxi is now a E90 M3 and available for rides. Unfortunately, it appears that, as expected, Sabine Schmitz is no longer the ring taxi driver. It is now driven by the instructors from the BMW Driving Experience program – much like it used to be in past years.
